Volunteers are central to our work, and we invest heavily in developing them as effective humanitarians. Because of this we recruit people in small numbers to fill the specific roles that we know are needed and will have a big impact. Volunteers become part of a close-knit team and will undergo significant training which will allow you to confidently apply your skills in challenging humanitarian situations.  

Many volunteers stay with MapAction for a long time, so only a handful of new opportunities arise each year.
