Help us to keep aid flowing to the right places

Imagine your family was waiting for help after a shattering disaster. What if no-one knew, and no-one came?

Our maps are much more than just navigation tools. They show relief agencies the places where people are in greatest need, and create a shared operational picture of the overall response. So aid gets to people who need it, with the mimumum delay.

"The MapAction service is invaluable. It's needed in all emergencies." (International Aid NGO, Sumatra earthquake, 2009)

Since 2004 MapAction has worked in the world's most shocking disasters like the Asian tsunami and the Haiti earthquake, as well as many emergencies that never make it into the international news yet bring misery to millions of people. Our volunteers play a vital role in saving lives and helping to bring hope quickly to shattered communities. Please help us to maintain this unique and vital service.

How can you help?

As a volunteer-based charity we deliver a big impact for a low cost. But we need funds to equip, train and deploy our volunteers (who donate their time free of charge) when disaster strikes. We don't receive funding from the large public appeals.

Give online using the Charities Aid Foundation secure donation facility. Using the Gift Aid scheme the taxman will then add 20% to your donation if you are a UK taxpayer! You can also give in Euros, US dollars and several other currencies.

Or why not make MapAction you corporate Charity of Year? From sponsored bike rides to pub quizzes, we will provide you with all the advice, support and materials to have a great time supporting us.

Please contact our Chief Executive Nigel Woof or 01494 56 88 99 or via our Contact Us page to request more information on how you can support MapAction. We would be delighted to hear from you!

This is aimed at ensuring that the challenge events are well organised and guided, with an emphasis on ensuring participants complete the trip safely. Costs and commitments are transparent and participants can ensure that MapAction will receive the maximum benefit from their efforts before, during and after the trip.
